Freelance Production Assistant: Weigel Productions is seeking an intellectually curious, team player, and a strong communicator Freelance Production Assistant to work closely with the Studio Production crew in our Chicago West Loop studios. About the Role · Work directly with Weigel’s Creative team, Director and crew members to discuss sequences, desired effects, camera movements, and lighting requirements · Assist in creation of multiple productions · Apply strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment What You’ll Do · Provide support and fill in across key production roles during tapings, including camera operation, audio, floor director, and teleprompter operation · Set up studio cameras and related equipment · Assist with daily production needs and deliver on site support during field shoots · Communicate clearly and proactively with cross functional teams · Perform additional duties as assigned What You’ll Need · 1-2 years of experience in a video production role within broadcast, digital, or cable environments (required) · Prior studio experience (preferred) · Experience with studio videography, lighting, audio production, vMix streaming software, and Ross Xpression Graphics (preferred) · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Exceptional attention to detail with proven time management abilities · Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on production demands · Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
