ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Adept at analysing and extracting core data and transforming into sharp messages within impactful narratives
• Confident in owning and rationalising copy, in order to present to internal teams and clients
• The ability to both champion work and gently challenge clients where necessary to drive best-in-class creatively-led scientific communications
• A grounding in the healthcare communications industry
• An undergraduate degree or higher within life sciences
• Extensive medical writing experience
• Experience working within a fast-paced agency setting
• Confident in presenting work to clients, clearly and effectively
• Able to adapt style to new and diverse projects and product types

ROLE OVERVIEW

The core of this role will involve the creation of accurate and engaging copy for Syneos Health’s communications business, forming part of our integrated European commercial division. The Freelance Senior Medical Copywriter will be responsible for taking complex scientific concepts and translating them into easy to understand, captivating copy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under the guidance of the Creative Directors, working within the Creative department alongside Art Directors, Designers and Scientific Strategists to create and support scientifically robust concepts and ideas
• Writing accurate and engaging scientific copy in support of our clients’ projects
• Producing high level work on-time and to budget
• Presenting work to both internal and external stakeholders
