Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Certified Welder with recognised certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, with proficiency in all processes (MAG, TIG, MMA, FCAW)
  • Experience in training or teaching is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety standards and best practices.
  • Strong organisational skills for managing training schedules, records, and equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trainers and staff.

Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality welding training programs that equip students, apprentices, and employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the welding industry. Ensure all training adheres to industry standards and safety regulations while fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct theoretical and practical welding training sessions.
  • Evaluate trainees’ performance through tests and hands-on assessments.
  • Maintain and set up welding equipment for training sessions.
  • Track and document trainees’ progress and attendance.
  • Provide feedback and support to trainees.
  • Ensure the training facility is clean, safe, and well-organised.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate trainees’ welding skills, providing constructive feedback and additional support where necessary.
  • Ensure trainees adhere to the company values and behaviours, promoting a culture of integrity, respect, and excellence.
