JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Freight Bookings & Customs Coordinator to join our logistics team at Premier Exports London Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating freight bookings, managing the customs clearance process, and ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of FMCG products to our markets.

EDUCATION:

  • Preferred, Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
  • Preferred, relevant certifications in logistics, customs, or freight management (e.g., IATA, FIATA, or equivalent) is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight operations, with a focus on FMCG or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping processes, customs regulations, and freight documentation. Good working knowledge of customs formalities and legislation on both import and export and good understanding of CFSP & ETSF
  • Experience in handling customs declarations and working with customs brokers. Knowledge of NCTS or CDS would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Must have good IT skills and understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, E-Customs.
  • Familiarity with logistics management software and freight tracking tools.

SKILLS:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external service providers.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and documentation.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address shipping and customs challenges quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with logistics software.
