Redcliffe International (Shipping) Limited specialise in providing freight and logistics solutions for military forwarding, as well as general cargos from all types of industries and sectors. In addition to general forwarding, we tailor solutions by air, road, rail and sea for the movement and storage of military goods including weapons, ammunition, explosives and missiles.

We now have an opening for a Freight Forwarder at our Headquarters in Watnall, Nottingham. Ideally with experience in shipping, we are seeking someone with a “can do attitude” to join our Team.

Knowledge and Experience required:

• Knowledge, understanding and experience of current import and export procedures.
• A good understanding of IT & emerging technologies.
• Experience & understanding of customs regulations.
• A background in dangerous goods movements desirable but not essential.
• An understanding of the inherent risks associated with the safe movement of dangerous & restricted goods desirable

Qualifications:

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Appropriate industry qualifications - e.g. an apprenticeship in freight forwarding

• Negotiate quotations for multi-modal shipments.
• Manage client accounts including invoicing.
• Arrange bookings with the carriers and hauliers for the movement of cargo.
• Keep up to date with any changes regarding available routings & regulations.
