For an internationally operating transport and logistics company in Bremen, we are seeking a candidate for direct placement as soon as possible:

Freight Forwarding Clerk (m/f/d) - Sea Freight

Are you experienced in sea freight and would you like to independently manage import and export orders from booking to completion? We are looking for someone to join our client's operational customer service team. You can expect an international work environment where you will work with a small team to ensure smooth transport operations and be in direct contact with customers, partners, terminals, and authorities.

Tasks

• Independent management and handling of sea freight transports in import and export.
• Organization of FCL and LCL traffic as well as coordination of the individual transport processes
• Communication with customers and coordination with terminals, authorities and other logistics partners
• Processing of the associated transport and customs documentation
• Creation and processing of bookings, offers and invoices
• Ensuring a smooth process and clarifying any questions throughout the entire transport process.
• Support with further organizational and administrative tasks in day-to-day operations

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), shipping clerk (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in sea freight, forwarding or logistics is desirable.
• Knowledge of handling FCL and LCL shipments
• Experience in customs clearance is an advantage.
• Proficient use of MS Office; knowledge of SAP or ALPO is a plus.
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Independent and structured work style as well as good organizational skills
• Enjoyment of working together in a small team and communicating with different contacts.
