We are looking for an experienced freight forwarding clerk / shipping clerk (m/f/d) for one of our clients in Berlin.

Your tasks

Shipping and transport processing

• Planning and processing of national and international shipping orders
• Selection of suitable shipping and packaging methods, taking into account the respective requirements.
• Planning and organization of road transport, air and sea freight, as well as courier and special transport services
• Obtaining, comparing and evaluating transport offers

Customs and export clearance

• Handling export customs clearance
• Processing of special customs procedures such as inward and outward processing as well as Carnet procedures
• Ensuring compliance with company, country-specific and customer-specific requirements.
• Creation and review of export-relevant documents

Invoice auditing & complaint management

• Control and posting of freight invoices
• Handling of claims against suppliers, customers and freight forwarders
• Support in the credit note process
• Handling of complaints, e.g. in case of transport damage, losses or missed deadlines.
• Reviewing invoices from external service providers such as freight forwarders and packaging companies

Interface management

• Collaboration with sales, purchasing, logistics and export
• Communication with freight forwarders, customers, suppliers and authorities
• Supporting a smooth flow of information along the supply chain

Your profile

• Completed commercial training, ideally as: - Freight forwarding and logistics services clerk
• Merchant/surgeon in wholesale and foreign trade management
• Industrial clerk
• or comparable qualification
• At least 2 years of professional experience in shipping, export or logistics
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Good user knowledge of SAP R/3
• Good English skills, both spoken and written.
• Experience in sales, purchasing, logistics or export is an advantage.
