Description

Grando Logistics Toronto Ltd. is currently looking for a logistics coordinator who will be handing ocean import FCL shipments as well as other logistics arrangements. Preference will be given to those with both ocean and air logistics experiences.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Word, and Excel) is a must
  • Previous experience of freight forwarding/logistics - handling FCL or LCL - is a must
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a must
  • Previous experience in air freight logistics is a plus
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills and customer service skills
  • Quick learner; ability to adapt and thrive under pressure
  • Must have a high level of organization
  • Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills in English

Responsibilities
  • Handle shipping documents
  • Prepare documents for sorting and distribution of cargo - i.e., distribute completed arrival notices, e-manifest filing
  • Provide quotations and issue invoices to clients and agents
  • Monitor shipments closely to meet deadlines and avoid delays
  • Facilitate all aspects of cargo importation until goods are successfully delivered to clients
  • Follow up with CBSA on issues of inspection and/or examination
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with our clients, vendors, and overseas agents
  • Maintain profitability of accounts and identify opportunities of profit increases by negotiating with vendors and agents
  • Adhere to established company protocol for documentation and records-keeping
