POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced individual to work collaboratively with the Managing Director to take the company forward through new sales and innovative working practices.
Supporting the MD and a small Sales & Operations team

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Communicating proactively to ensure the work is being carried out in the most effective way.
Maximising the profitability of each consignment / job by negotiating effectively with new clients and our supplier base.
Operating the in-house software system. The successful applicant will raise the orders and process all of the necessary administration.

In order to apply for this role, you will have:

• European Trailer freight/ UK Road & Worldwide shipping experience in all modes of transport
• A confident personality with a can do attitude.
• A professional positive and helpful attitude to work colleagues, suppliers, customers & excellent sales ethos.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate directly with clients and suppliers and identify and maximise opportunities to increase both turnover and profit.
• Numerate and literate - it is vital that the successful candidate is able to explain complex logistical issues concisely in both written and verbal form.
• IT literate.
• Ambitious with a desire to succeed.
• Experience of working for a transport/logistics company.
• Presentable, energetic, and enthusiastic.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Must live in West Yorkshire
• Must have Freight Forwarding experience
