YOUR NEW ROLE

• Receive and process orders for the transportation of perishable goods from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Determine the specific requirements for each shipment, such as temperature controls, packaging, and documentation.
• Arrange transportation with carriers, airlines, or shipping lines, and negotiate rates to optimize cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines concerning the transportation of perishable goods, including but not limited to temperature control requirements, safety standards, and documentation.
• Prepare and review all necessary shipping and customs documentation, such as airway bills, bills of lading, certificates, permits, and licenses.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments, including tracking information and delivery status.
• Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing perishable goods to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Conduct inspections of perishable cargo, packaging, and temperature control equipment to identify any potential issues or deviations.
• Identify areas for process improvement and suggest innovative solutions to optimize the perishable logistics operation
• Other tasks and responsibilities which may be assigned as and when required by your supervisor/manager
