Responsibilities

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

  • To Plan, Direct & Maintain an efficient warehouse operation.
  • Ensure warehouse operations maintain best practice Health & Safety legislative compliance.
  • Ensures the efficient utilization of all warehouse space and mechanical handling equipment, ensuring quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
  • Works to ensure warehouse labour targets are achieved as per budget requirements
  • Directs the receipt, inspection, storage, order assembly and distribution of stock to our customers & suppliers.
  • Consults managers and supervisors to implement initiatives designed to improve the efficiency and level of service to our suppliers and customers.
  • Evaluates and recommends changes in staffing, organizational structure, hours of operation, and other operational efficiencies to improve service levels.
  • Organizes and manages outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of items.
  • Administers, supervises, and participates in inventory control assigned to inbound stock personnel, minimize stock loss and best before dates.
  • Develops, directs, and recommends the implementation of policies, procedures, and schedules relative to the handling of stock and the maintenance of records.
  • Evaluates the efficiency of existing equipment and makes recommendations regarding the replacement of equipment and the design and layout of warehouse facilities in order to maximize handling efficiency and meet future technological warehouse needs.
  • Develops and implements security control procedures for warehouse operations.
  • Evaluates the work performance of subordinate staff and controls the selection, orientation, retention, training, and discipline of personnel.
