Description We are seeking a Freight Rate Validation Specialist for a 6-month temporary position to support rate validation and SOX compliance activities within our logistics team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring freight rates are properly validated and compliant with established procedures. Key Responsibilities: 1.Freight Rate Change Report / baseline Execution: - Run the weekly freight rate change report / baseline report from SAP following specifiedSOX-related parameters. 2.Verification of Rate Changes: - Verify that each rate change or new rate was requested and approved throughDocuWare, ensuring they appear on the report. 3.Auditor Validation: - Collaborate with the team to validate the rate, effective date, and associated DocuWareapproval number. - Confirm that the rate change aligns with our Master Hauler Agreement, approved bids,mileage tables, and other approved documents stored in DocuWare. 4.Variance Identification & Documentation: - Identify any variances between the report and the approved rates. Document thesediscrepancies in the report and ensure follow-up with the Freight Audit Specialist to correct the rates in SAP. - Maintain evidence of follow-up until the rate is corrected and reflected in the newfreight rate change report. 5.Rate Update and Reporting: - Once variances are resolved, re-run the rate change report in SAP for the appropriatedate range, or obtain individual screenshots of updated records. - If a report is re-run, capture and document report parameters, row totals, andtime/date stamps. 6.Final Review & Documentation: - Ensure all validations and comments are completed. Sign off in the designated cell to confirm that no additional review or comments are outstanding. Skills Rate Validation, Transportation Billing, SAP, Excel, accounts payable, invoice processing, customer service, microsoft excel Top Skills Details Rate Validation,Transportation Billing,SAP,Excel Additional Skills & Qualifications •Experience: Prior experience in freight auditing, rate validation, transportation billing or anyrelated field is required. •Bilingual: English and Spanish – required. •Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and ability toidentify discrepancies in reports. •SOX Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance and internalcontrols is highly desirable. •Proficiency in SAP, DocuWare, and MS Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables,etc.). •Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external auditors. •Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. •High School diploma, or equivalent, plus 1–3 years job related experience /bachelor’s degree inbusiness administration, accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field ispreferred. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
