MontessoriWorks is a CCMA Member school looking for a French Teacher to run our Montessori summer camp French Class and After Care program for children ages 18 months to 6 years of age. Competitive salary, plus wage enhancement grants are offered to the selected candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement an academic curriculum appropriate for children aged between 18 months to 6 years of age;
  • Proficient in teaching and reviewing all content related to specific subjects and able to complete learning summaries
  • Able to adjust teaching methods and academic plan to accommodate the needs of all children
  • Has experience using different mediums and tools to accommodate all learning styles
  • Responsible for planning and implementing activities that encourage children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development;
  • Maintain open communication and work as a team with co-workers
  • Maintain open and positive communication with parents
  • Maintain up to date student records, and proficient in daily report writing;
  • Observe and record relevant information on each child’s progress as required/as per School practices;
  • Participate and plan outdoor activities with children for at least 2 hours per day;
  • Ensure the program compliance with all Ministry and program’s standards.
  • Provide supervision and training of students and supply teachers;
  • Maintain classroom and all teaching materials in good condition, responsible for toy/material disinfection and other assigned cleaning duties;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by School Administration/School Director.

Qualification:

  • Must hold an OCT, ECE or Montessori diploma and be in good standing or relevant education
  • Able to and experience speaking and teaching French or more languages
  • Over one year of experience working with children
  • At least one year of experience at a School
  • Standard First Aid CPR - C
  • Criminal background check and immunization up to date
  • Passion for working with children

Experience:

  • Child Care: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Teaching Experience: 1-year Minimum (Preferred)

Education:

  • OCT Diploma
  • ECE Diploma
  • AMI/MACTE or equivalent Diploma

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27.5 per week

Additional pay:

  • Bonus pay

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
