ABOUT US:

We are a locally based tutoring center in Victoria, BC, dedicated to helping individuals achieve their educational and immigration goals. We are currently looking for an experienced French language instructor to support adult learners preparing for French immigration pathways, including TEF Canada and TCF Canada exams.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate French instructor to help clients improve their French language skills to meet Canadian immigration requirements (typically CLB/NCLC 7 or higher). The ideal candidate will have experience teaching adults and be familiar with the TEF/TCF exam formats.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in French at a minimum CEFR level of C1 or equivalent
  • Experience teaching French to adult learners
  • Familiarity with Canadian immigration language benchmarks (CLB/NCLC)
  • Knowledge of TEF Canada or TCF Canada is a strong asset
  • Ability to teach in-person in Victoria or offer hybrid instruction
  • English proficiency for basic communication with staff/students

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or a related field
  • Experience working with newcomers or immigration-focused students
  • TEF/TCF teaching experience or certification preparation experience

Responsibilities
  • Provide structured French lessons focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing

  • Provide feedback and support to boost student confidence and performance
