The Oak Barn are seeking a dynamic individual with a passion for everything culinary!
The Oak Barn Restaurant is an independent top rated, 150 cover restaurant in West Sussex.
We specialise in rosette standard menus using locally sourced ingredients to produce Modern British Fayre.
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiast approach to creating innovative dishes from locally sourced produce and demonstrate great attention to detail. Strong experience in restaurant & gastro pubs is required.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the cleanliness, organisation & standards within the kitchen
  • Running the kitchen in collaboration with the Head Chef.
  • Assisting the brigade in a small, safe & efficient kitchen operation
  • Assist Head Chef in training younger members of team
  • Responsible for day to day running of any given section
  • Demonstrate a committed & consistent work approach
  • Assist in menu development and daily specials
  • Ensuring the quality of food
  • Be aware & uphold health & safety requirements
  • Aid with daily ordering, whilst being aware of stock levels & menu planning
  • Running of kitchen in Head Chef’s absence
  • Effective communication with Front Of House
