The Market Lead promotes exceptional guest service on the retail team, using interpersonal skills and product knowledge to drive sales and improve guest satisfaction. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager. Stocks, rotates and faces products according to department procedure and merchandizing standards Collaborates with the Warehouse team to maintain proper stock levels, organizing back stock and warehouse storage effectively and efficiently Follows order and inventory procedures and receives deliveries, verifying order and invoice accuracy Assists with delegating tasks, supervising, training and motivating Market Associates Maintains accurate department signage, pricing and labelling Rotates products according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards Inspects shelves and immediately removes expired or damaged merchandise Communicates grocery needs, adjustments and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently Assesses departmental food waste with department heads and diverts waste to donations Partners with Guest Relations, Grocery, and Events & Education to coordinate product demos Maintains safe and cleanly work conditions and compliance with state and federal regulations Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting and packaging disposal as necessary Performs other duties as required or assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of experience in grocery Proactive and able to multitask Excellent communication skills Knowledge of Italian food and beverage preferred Job Requirements Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting Ability to use a hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder and cleaning supplies Additional Information Benefits and Perks Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Parental Leave 401K with match or RRSP Bonus program Free family meal daily Discounts at Eataly Classes on products and Italian cuisine Referral bonus program and more!
