An Artisan shares knowledge about products and ingredients with guests and recommends products and portion sizes. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager. Assists the retail counters with daily operations as needed to ensure counters are running smoothly Ensures retail supplies are in stock and being utilized properly at all stations Stocks counter and display refrigerators neatly, accurately and in a timely manner Slices, weighs, labels, displays, sells and packages products per department standards and guest specifications Manages transfers between departments to ensure accurate inventory levels and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Provides a steady presence on the floor, constantly interacting with guests, employees, vendors and visitors Performs other duties as required or assigned Qualifications 2+ years of experience in food service Strong knowledge of steps of service Great communication and problem-solving skills Knowledge of Italian products Job Requirements Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting Additional Information Benefits and Perks Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Parental Leave 401K with match or RRSP Bonus program Free family meal daily Discounts at Eataly Classes on products and Italian cuisine Referral bonus program and more! The base pay range for this position is $18–$19 per hour.
