JOB DESCRIPTION

An excellent and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experience and ambitious Quality Controller, to join our team at our Evesham Depot in Worcestershire.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1 year experience in produce inspection, quality, or food/warehouse environments
  • Familiar with fresh produce standards, ideally with grading or labelling knowledge
  • Proficient in computer skills and record-keeping
  • Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in varied warehouse environments (cold, humidity)
Responsibilities

JOB ROLE

  • Inspect incoming shipments of fruit & vegetables for freshness, damage, grade, and compliance with specifications, completing QC reports
  • Monitor warehouse inventory, conducting routine checks to prevent spoilage and ensure proper storage categorisation
  • Oversee outgoing orders, verifying quality prior to dispatch
  • Manage quarantine procedures and hold non‑conforming goods
  • Maintain detailed documentation for inspections, traceability, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve quality issues, provide guidance, and support continuous improvement
  • Support internal/external audits and uphold GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards

  • Maintain good working relations with a wide range of contacts both internal and external to the business.
  • Able to work as part of a designated team and supportive to other team members including willingness to cover duties in times of absence and holidays.
