Description Purpose: The advisors will facilitate growth and productivity within the Aveda Institute New Mexico. In addition, they will ensure that every guest receives the best experience possible and support the cosmetology and esthiology students. Responsibilities: Greet all guests upon arrival at the location and determine their needs. Offer each guest a beverage and a ritual if they are waiting for a service provider(student). Offer guests a tour of the Institute so they are aware of all services provided. Provide education regarding Aveda products. Participate in Institute events and events in the community. Maintain benchmarks and monthly sales goals. Provide support to all service providers (students) by checking guests in and out. Communicate any schedule changes to the service providers, instructors and/or guests if needed. Be knowledgeable of the Aveda Service Wheel and follow through to the end with each and every guest. Attend all meetings in order to be aware of new products, services and strategies for growth. Ensure that the Institute is clean and product is stocked. Consistently communicate with Team Leaders and the Advisor team to ensure everyone is aware of what is happening on the service floor as well as the retail area. Requirements Passionate about nurturing others in alignment with the Aveda Institute New Mexico mission and the Aveda mission. Previous retail experience, specifically in the beauty industry is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required. Must be able to work retail hours including weekends, holidays and special events. Demonstrated experience with computers.
