Calabogie Peaks Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and proactive Front Desk Agent.
Reporting to the Front Desk Supervisor or designated
Job Type: Full-time and Part-Time available.
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience + benefits

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team, as a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests. Your main responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, handling reservations, checking guests in and out, and assisting with guest inquiries and requests. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment..

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Comfortable with computers and hotel reservation software (training provided)
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
· Friendly, professional demeanour with a positive attitude
· Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
· Must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
· Good communication and customer service skills
· Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: High School Diploma required; Post-secondary education is an asset
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent or similar.
  • Skills:
  • Strong teamwork abiliities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of PMS (Property Management System), Choice platforms knowledge is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner
  • Check guests in and out efficiently, verifying identification and payment methods
  • Answer phones, manage reservations, and respond to inquiries both in person and over the phone
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest accounts
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary
  • Provide local recommendations and information about hotel amenities and services
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk and lobby area
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Balance shift reports and complete required daily paperwork
  • Follow hotel procedures and safety policies at all times
  • Comply with all brand standards and exceed guests’ expectations
  • Cover Night Audit when needed (11 pm to 7 am).
