  • Generate reservations via phone and email requests, and perform check-ins and check-outs.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with clients, management, suppliers, and co-workers using a variety of communication channels.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Professional demeanor when answering phones, and directing calls.
  • Possess excellent time management skills, the ability to multi-task, and have a strict attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a diverse environment with a key focus on problem solving and guest satisfaction.
  • Friendly and customer oriented personality with a genuine desire to help and please others.
  • Able to adapt quickly and respond to ever changing demands in a positive manner while under pressure.
  • Maintain organization, stocking and overall cleanliness of the front desk and gift shop.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in English both spoken and written.
  • French, Spanish or German as a second language is an asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite + PMS system.
  • Previous hotel experience is required, ideally in lodge setting.
    Accommodation and meals are provided for all employees while on rotation.
    Schedule is three weeks on and one week off working ten hour days.
    Transfers to and from Terrace provided. Flights are at your cost.
    In the winter months, perks include heliskiing if you are a strong skier/snowboarder and all conditions met.

Responsibilities

This is a dynamic role that incorporates key roles such as reception, reservations, gift shop sales, concierge and host. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for ensuring that guests are taken care of and any individual needs or requests are addressed in a timely, professional manner. This is a critical position that requires a high level of organisation, customer service and previous experience within the hospitality and tourism industry. The Front Desk Agent is the main point of contact between guests and the establishment.
