Our Front Desk Agents are integral to the entire guest experience at the Fort Garry Hotel, Ascend Collection ®. We are looking for EXPERIENCED HOTEL FRONT DESK AGENTS who will be able to use their skills and professionalism to anticipate guest’s needs and provide them with an exceptional experience from check – in through to check – out.
This is a full time position and requires candidate to have open availability through out the week with no restrictions i.e. including weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 3 years previous HOTEL Front Desk Agent experience.
Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality Management is an asset.
Excellent customer service skills with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, including reading, writing and speaking. Knowledge of additional language(s) is an asset.
Ability to multi – task and stay organized.
Knowledge of Opera PMS is an asset.
Previous cash handling/credit card/debit card processing.
Can work under pressure.
Desire to resolve guest complaints in a timely and efficient manger i.e. OWN the problem.
Flexible availability is a must.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and check guests in and out of guestrooms in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Provide information and answer questions regarding hotel services, local attractions, and dining recommendations.
  • Handle incoming calls; direct callers to appropriate departments or provide assistance as needed.
  • Monitor and respond to incoming emails for the Fort Garry Hotel (front desk and reservations accounts) in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage guestroom reservations, including new bookings, 3rd party booking, set up routing and fixed charges, modifications, and cancellations.
  • Arrange guest transportation when requested.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to maximize guest satisfaction scores (GSS) via Medallia®.
  • Verify pre-check-ins using Canary and ensure accuracy prior to guest arrival.
  • Complete all assigned duties on the daily task sheet.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
