POSITION SUMMARY:

Middle Beach Lodge is looking for an energetic, guest-focused, and team-oriented individual to join our Front Desk team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, Front Desk Agents play a vital role in shaping the overall guest experience, from the moment they arrive to the moment they depart.
More than just a welcoming face, you are the eyes and ears of the lodge, located at the heart of the action. You’ll take pride in “owning” the guest experience, ensuring every interaction is warm, smooth, and memorable. This includes handling check-ins and check-outs, reservations, assisting with retail as well as our lunge area, and responding to guest needs with professionalism and care.

Consistent and reliable attendance is a key part of success in this role and helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests and team.
Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, scheduling requirements will vary based on business needs. Team Members are expected to demonstrate flexibility, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Attendance at job-specific training sessions and team meetings is mandatory, as these are essential to maintaining service standards and team cohesion.
All Team Members are expected to adhere to the Lodge’s established policies, procedures, and safety standards from the start of their employment. These guidelines are in place to ensure a respectful, safe, and efficient work environment for everyone.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Ensure that evert guest is greeted and welcomes upon arrival
  • Register guests to the hotel, verifying reservation, address, contact details, and billing information.
  • Book future reservations for guest who approach the desk, call, or email.
  • Have an intimate knowledge of the hotel facilities and the local geographic area
  • Accept payment for guests’ accounts at the time of registration and at checkout
  • Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily
  • Run daily end of shift audit reports.
  • Process all lounge & retail transactions.
  • Responsible for restocking and assuring overall cleanliness of Lounge/Great Room and Retail
  • Responsible for communicating larger issues to Housekeeping and Maintenance for immediate attention
  • Assist in handling mail and facsimiles and providing guest with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions
