Description

We are looking for a part time/full time front desk agent/night auditor. The Front Desk Agents work together as a team to provide guests with a positive and comfortable experience at our lovely inn. You need to be transparent in your work and be very detail oriented, follow company policies, and work independently.

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • Must speak/write English
  • Minimum high school completion (some college experience would be great)
  • 2-4 years of work experience
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Work, Excel, Powerpoint, emails)
  • Comfortable answering calls and making reservations
  • Positive and professional attitude at all times
  • Arrive to work on time

Work availability:

  • Availability to work all days of the week, includes weekends and holidays
  • Participate in Night Audit shift 2 days per week (shift from 11pm-7am)
  • Understand that your work days may rotate from week to week depending on business requirements
  • Be on call and willing to cover shifts when other staff members go on leave

Dress Code:

  • Business casual (dress pants, shirt/blouse, sweater), closed toe shoes

Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Follow company policies and procedures (training provided)
  • Answer phones, take guest reservations, send guest confirmation emails
  • Process payments on point of sale machine
  • Prepare housekeeping department work sheets
  • Call housekeepers on or off depending on business requirements
  • Participate in keeping reception area, kitchen, restroom and pavements clean (vacuum, sweep, mop, dusting)
  • Participate in serving breakfast
  • Keep coffee area fully stocked and tidy at all times
  • Take out garbage and recycling
  • Deliver supplies to guests (linens, towels, etc.), help guests use room facilities
  • Help clean a room if needed (make bed, dusting, vacuuming, etc.)
  • Help fold laundry if needed
  • Some light maintenance (change batteries of door locks, change a light bulb, unplug a toilet, etc.)
  • Undergo regular training to upgrade skills, take feedback with a positive attitude to improve your work
  • Make detailed notes in property management system, leave detailed notes for the next shift.
  • Monitor property by doing regular ground checks

Wages

  • Starting wage is $17.85+ per hour
