The Front Desk Assistant supports daily office operations through routine clerical tasks and consistent front desk coverage. This role ensures a professional reception area and plays a key role in maintaining the safety, security, and cleanliness of the building.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit or stand at the front desk for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to perform light cleaning and event setup tasks
Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent front desk coverage during business hours
  • Greet and direct visitors in a professional manner, following established visitor protocols
  • Accept and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Monitor and restock office supplies; place weekly orders in line with budget guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the reception area, kitchen, and restrooms throughout the day
  • Prepare, set up, and clean up for meetings, training, and office events
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as creating presentations, flyers, and announcements
  • Prepare workstations for new employees and print nameplates
  • Maintain a professional front desk environment by minimizing non-business-related activity or prolonged socializing
  • Complete daily mail drop-off at the post office and run occasional errands (e.g., food, supplies)
  • Help ensure a safe, secure, and orderly workplace by remaining attentive to front area activity and access
  • Perform other duties as assigned
