Description Oral and Facial Surgery of East Alabama and West Georgia- Auburn is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our patient-focused team. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience for every patient, from their first phone call to their post-treatment follow-up. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a dental or oral surgery office, excel in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and strong organizational skills. Responsibilites Verify insurance benefits, calculate patient portions, and determine pre-pay amounts for consultations and surgeries. Accurately enter and manage patient information using EMR systems. Discuss treatment plans and financial responsibilities with patients and collect payments as needed. Answer and manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system with professionalism and warmth. File and follow up on insurance claims, ensuring proper documentation for timely processing. Schedule and confirm clinical and surgical appointments. Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out processes. Prepare patient charts and maintain daily schedules for the clinical team. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while multitasking efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience. Requirements Previous experience in a dental or oral surgery office preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of receptionist or front office experience preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a busy environment. Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and support the team.
