Duties would include: Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards to appropriate personnel. Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information Welcomes on-site visitors, determines the nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required. Updates appointment calendars. Schedules clients according to stated guidelines. Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications. Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes. Verifies insurance is valid prior to service being rendered. Takes payment for services and products Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies with integrity and ethically; uploads organizational values. Other duties may be assigned Candidate must possess the following skills: Excellent customer service Must be able Multitask Organized Team player Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Requirements Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Experience: 1 year front desk and/or medical office experience Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
