Description About Us: The Pediatric Center has been serving the families of Frederick County, MD and the surrounding areas since 1957. It is our mission to partner with our diverse families to provide comprehensive, compassionate, high quality pediatric care in a respectful, friendly, and culturally sensitive environment. The Position: We are looking for an energetic and friendly person to join our team full-time at The Pediatric Center of Frederick mainly in our Taney Ave location with the expectation to cover satellite offices as needed. The ideal candidate has great customer service skills, is very comfortable with technology and able to pay close attention to details. This position requires greeting our patients and their families as well as assisting them on the phone so good communication skills are a must. The position is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and 1-2 Saturday shifts (8am-12pm) a month. We offer great benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance and 401k. Starting pay $18 an hour with $1000 hiring bonus paid at 6 months. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for candidates that can help support our core values through the following: Patient and Family Centered - Welcoming our patients and demonstrating a desire to help meet their expectations. EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND CREDENTIALS: High school diploma/GED required 1 year experience in customer service is preferred Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) experience is desirable SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to multitask. Great customer service skills. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written communication. Ability to use a computer, practice management software, copier, and fax machine. Team & service oriented, organized, has good judgment, punctual with stable work history.
Responsibilities
The Front Desk Associate will greet patients and their families, assist them over the phone, and ensure efficient completion of front office tasks. They will also collect contact and insurance information and payments.
