Description

The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for the successful check in and check out of all guests in a welcoming, caring and timely manner, providing information on the room types and amenities in the room along with the services and facilities throughout the resort. This position plays a pivotal role in the guests overall positive experience during their stay

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work experience in a Customer Service role
  • Work experience in a Front Desk Attendant role an asset
  • Very strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and understand multiple software systems.
  • Strong knowledge in MS Word, Excel
  • Adaptable to a busy and fast paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational abilities
Responsibilities
  • Performing all check in and check out tasks in a welcoming and timely manner.
  • Registering guests at check in, confirming and collecting necessary information such as phone and email contacts, dates of stay
  • Informing guests about payment methods, verifying credit card information
  • A thorough knowledge of all the different room types and confidently describe the room set up and amenities in the rooms.
  • Provide up to date information on all of the services and facilities throughout the resort and the surrounding community.
  • Upsell room types when the opportunity arises.
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and Maintenance on room status of cleanliness and in working order.
  • Respond to guest concerns/complaints in a professional manner and resolve any issues in a timely manner and that is satisfactory to the guest.
  • Answering phones at the front desk in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in phone reservations when required
  • May perform other duties and functions as assigned based on business levels throughout the resort and organizational changes as directed by the Owner, VP of Operations & General Manager and the Front Office Manager.
