FIVE POINTS WASHINGTON SUMMARY:

Five Points Washington is a 143,000 sq/ft facility that houses a fitness center, two court gymnasium, family leisure and eight lane competition pools, 1,020 seat auditorium, banquet facility, meeting rooms, senior room and library.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Under the supervision of the Member Services Manager of Five Points, the Front Desk Attendant/Shift Leader will be responsible for:

  • Strong communication, organizational skills and strong commitment to Five Points’ mission/values
  • Work cooperatively and harmoniously with people of all ages/economic levels in an enthusiastic and caring manner
  • Ability to sell and promote memberships, programs and services
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with members/children and staff
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training and evaluation of part-time staff supervised
  • Perform all aspects of front desk, shift lead and clubhouse duties
  • Assisting in ordering and inventorying clubhouse equipment, supplies and FD concessions
  • Motivate, correction of performance and discipline of clubhouse, front desk and shift leader staff
  • Make decisions, problem-solve and relate to policy using common sense and diplomacy
  • Employee scheduling, training and assist in facilitating meetings
  • Preparation of facility for programs, meetings, events and rentals
  • Performing all other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • One year of leadership experience in the customer service position
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (will certify the right candidate)
