Hello! Axis Health Center is a small healthcare clinic in Saskatoon that provides chiropractic, massage, acupuncture and physiotherapy in Saskatoon. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to engage the communities of Saskatoon to enrich and enhance peoples lives through health and wellness promotion.
Our team is seeking a professional and detailed-oriented front desk attendant beginning on a part-time basis and expanding for the right individual. This position is available immediately to the successful candidate upon an interview.

We are looking for a trained part-time Receptionist to join our team and provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have experience in a busy reception role, will be the point of first contact for all patients of the clinic and excellent people skills and efficiency are paramount. You will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling and re-scheduling appointments, following up with patients over the phone, and managing incoming and outgoing email. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should be friendly, professional, have a positive attitude, and understand their importance in friendly demeanour when interacting with patients and providers in the clinic. Preference will be given to those with reception experience in a clinical setting; experience in processing insurance claims (Telus eclaims, sunlife, etc.); and those dealing with the public.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing insurance claims (WCB, SGI, Telus e-health, etc.) for appointments with attention to detail.
  • Greet visitors and answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage the front desk, including taking messages, scheduling appointments, and handling email, using the clinic management software Jane App for booking and all scheduling of appointments.
  • Positive communication skills when dealing with patients and providers.
  • Training on clinical management software for scheduling, re-booking, receiving payment for appointments, organizing and inputting patient intake forms and digital data.
  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area and clinic/treatment rooms
  • Assist with filing and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • General cleaning & tidying reception area, clinic rooms and the clinic in general.

The successful candidate:

  • Is trained with experience on reception - preference will be to those with experience working in a clinical setting; working with Jane App; processing insurance claims.
  • Has a self-starter attitude, who anticipates what the clinic needs are and what the providers need to do their job and see patients in an efficient, smooth, and enjoyable experience.
  • Is highly organized, reliable, and can work in a dynamic environment who can take initiative and think on their feet when needed.
  • Knows that customer service is key!
