POSITION OVERVIEW

Work Location: St. Charles, IL Office
Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, this hybrid Front Desk/Bookkeeper role
performs routine clerical, administrative, and customer service duties, along with general accounting
tasks.
This position also provides ongoing administrative support for other TAI departments/offices and TAI
projects as deemed necessary and/or directed.
Illinois Pay Transparency – this role will pay $22-$25/hour based on experience. The annual salary
listed is for a 40-hour work week (2080 hours per year = $47,000-52,000/year)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

For successful performance in this position, the incumbent will need to demonstrate the following:

KNOWLEDGE of:

  • Office procedures and standard office equipment.
  • Microsoft Windows Operating System/Professional Suite
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks – Desktop/Cloud
  • General knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial practices

SKILLS in:

  • Prioritizing work and exercising independent judgment, wisdom, and common sense, using initiative,

discretion within established procedures, guidelines, and rules.

  • Record keeping/file maintenance, organizational, verbal and written communication, multi-tasking,

analytical, mathematical, time management, and prioritization.

  • Use of common computer applications, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and

database applications.

ABILITY to:

  • Commute to St. Charles Office and work in-person, Monday through Friday
  • Follow written and oral instructions.
  • Effectively communicate with, present information to, and respond to questions from

management, staff, and clients on routine matters professionally.

  • Write business correspondence, accurately proofread and edit documents for correct grammar,

spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, tone, and content.

  • Develop work methods and procedures with initiative and good judgment, and use resourcefulness

and tact in meeting new challenges.

  • Handle confidential material and information in an ethical, professional manner.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with staff at all levels.
  • Work effectively under deadlines.
  • Demonstrate good customer service skills with the ability to problem-solve
  • Maintain a professional attitude and physical appearance and consistent attendance with advance

notification of absences, in compliance with corporate policy.

  • Perform detailed work accurately and initiate and maintain necessary follow-up.
  • Language: English (Required)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Accounting, or

a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years general accounting experience (bookkeeping or accounts payable role)
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite

knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the essential job functions of this
position.
