JOB DESCRIPTION

SCAFFEX Inc. is a locally owned and operated scaffolding and swing stage company located in the East end of Ottawa. We are currently looking for a Front Desk Clerk to help manage our front desk.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls and forwarding calls as required.
  • Assist walk-ins with any questions regarding rentals, purchases, returns and / or deliveries.
  • Create equipment rental contracts.
  • Process returns and deliveries for billing files, as required.
  • Purchasing material as required for shop, office and onsite.
  • Ensure CVOR and IFTA is maintained for the truck fleet.
  • Process debit / credit card payments as required.
  • Special projects as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

If you are the right person for this opportunity you will have previous experience in providing support to a busy office including:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and clients in both English and French.
  • Experience in juggling multiple priorities and working with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work overtime if required.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a grade 12 or equivalent diploma.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must have a minimum of one year’s experience working in an office setting.
  • Previous experience working in a construction office considered an asset.
  • A valid ‘G’ license and clean driver abstract would be considered an asset, but not mandatory.
