Description The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) serves the University's international student and scholars, as well as their hosting departments. As the Front Desk Coordinator, you will work with the ISSS team to perform daily front desk related duties including serving clients in person, via phone, email etc., as well as other relevant duties including serving as Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), processing client requests submitted through the ISSS international case management system, triaging virtual/in-person walk-ins, coordinating/assisting with meetings, events, or programs and supervising part-time student workers. Preference will be given to applications received by November 21st. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives notification of customer service complaints and initiates a resolution process. Determines the severity of each request and prioritizes follow-up contact. Communicates directly with customers to understand and resolve issues in an efficient and timely manner. May visit the work site to investigate issues. Enters data into a database management system. Monitors cases to ensure a timely resolution. Maintains files and records. Establishes and prepares reports. May provide direction to staff. Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. Three years of customer service experience. NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
