JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a friendy, dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The position is for covering Saturdays, except long weekends, and be available to help cover the occasional Wed or Friday and/or coverage for holidays or /and sick days as well. This role is crucial in providing exceptional patient service and administrative support within a medical or dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping with front desk operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, and maintaining accurate dental records.

SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, dental billing processes.
  • Proficiency in dental software, Powerpractice a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance patient experience.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse patient population.
  • Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with clinic operations is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation management.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar effectively.
  • Handle incoming calls using multi-line phone systems, addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Verify insurance information and perform insurance verification as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation review and filing of medical records.
  • Process dental billing and coding.
  • Utilize Powerpractice or similar software for patient management.
  • Provide clerical support including typing correspondence, and maintaining cleanliness at the front desk area.
  • Collaborate with dental providers, assistants and administrators to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care.
