JOB SUMMARY:
As a Front Desk Associate, you will act as the first point of contact for our patients and set the tone for the visit through excellent patient care. You will be required to perform the necessary administrative responsibilities needed to create a smooth check in/out experience for patients.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Healthcare receptionist experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer
- Repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing)
- Travel to other offices as needed

Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments, coordinating ancillary testing when necessary and ensuring pre certs and prior authorizations are received.
- Make appointments, cancel, reschedule and handle no-show appointments
- Greeting patients, verifying all demographic information, verify insurance
- Collect copayments, deductibles and coinsurance and provide receipts
- Data entry & record keeping
- Communicate with patients, physicians and staff
- Maintain inventory of medical products and office supplies
- Maintain a neat, clean waiting room
- Oversees record keeping for and destruction
- Assists satellite offices, some travel may be required
- Comply with HIPPA confidentiality standards
