We are hiring a Patient Care Coordinator for our Acupuncture Clinic!
We are looking for a fantastic new Patient Care Coordinator. Here’s the job description (hint! read all the way to the bottom!).
This position involves evenings and weekends, and some day shifts as well.
* You must be available for evenings on Thursday, Friday and for daytime shifts on Saturday and Sunday.*
Pay range is $18-24/ hour, depending on experience. 20-37 hours per week, with a consistent number of hours determined by mutual agreement. Free acupuncture treatments as part of your benefits.
Bilingualism is a must.
Here are the most important things we are looking for:
*amazing customer service skills (you love people, they love you, you like helping!)
*a “quick study”–meaning you are a bright, smart, observant person. If you are often called “smart” that’s a good thing, in our book.
*strong attention to detail
*ability to prioritize and manage projects and systems, and delegate as necessary, with the follow through to match
*great communication skills–you are a proactive communicator, and are committed to a “more communication is always better” ethos.
*emotional maturity, and the willingness and ability to be a great team player. You get that healthy relationships are important. (we practice a lot of systems to cultivate this as a team–we are human beings, after all.)
*reliable!!
*comfortable with technology such as scheduling software, text, email, telephone, POS system (we will train you!!). If technology makes you nervous or stresses you out, this is not the right fit for you.
*mature–you’ve got some life experience under your belt and it’s made you wiser, but you are still interested in that thing called “beginner’s mind”. (We get Zen around here).
*management experience–if you’ve worked in a classroom, run a household, managed teams or projects, that’s a bonus.
You are grounded, but not stuck. Someone who sees a system, can see its value, and how it might even be improved upon. You can listen, and observe, and make suggestions after gathering information. You are willing to get curious about issues, rather than reacting with your mood or out of defensiveness. You might be excited about holistic health, but you are not a provider of any kind of holistic health at all. (We want you to do your thing, not just do this on the side while you get “your thing” going.)
This is an important role in our clinic, and we want you to dedicate your full attention to it while you are at work. And…we are human beings doing work with human beings. We aren’t perfect, but in our team, we highly value clear communication, getting curious together about all the things, and helping to make the world a better place, one acupuncture treatment and patient interaction at a time. This is a position that is both patient facing, and administrative, with room to grow into more of a leadership position.
