Description High volume Family medical group seeking experienced Receptionist to work Mon-Fri 7:45AM-4:15PM. Essential functions and basic duties (This list may not include all the essential functions and duties assigned). · Greets all patients and visitors in a caring and professional manner · Collects at time of check in patient information such as patients’ demographics, pharmacy, ID, insurance verification, copays · Close out cash drawer and count change · Confirms patients’ appointment (reschedule if patient wants to cancel or responded no to appointment reminder) · Schedules all patient appointments according to the established policy of the practice · Enters/Scans all current and new patient information into Athena accurately · Answer incoming telephone calls and determining the precise reason for the call · Directs telephone call to the appropriate personnel promptly and courteously. · Keeping up with waiting room cleanliness · Complies with HIPAA policies and procedures ensuring confidentiality and patient privacy · Complies with OSHA rules and regulations · Interacts with vendors, staff, physician’s and visitors in caring and professional manner · Attends and participates in all office meetings as scheduled Requirements - High school diploma or GED - Customer service experience - Good communication skills - Must have medical experience * Athena experience a plus*
