Description Position: Front Desk Reception Reports to: Front Desk Supervisor Purpose of Position: Receives all incoming calls to the Crossroads main telephone number. Assists callers and directs calls to the appropriate departments or individual. Monitors completion of intake paperwork and completeness of entries into the Homeless Management Information System and completes administrative tasks as assigned. Available openings: Part-time 7am-3pm Saturday & Sunday Duties and Responsibilities: Advocates for the mission of the organization and promotes and upholds the agency’s values. Greets donors and other visitors with a customer service focus and directs them to the appropriate department/follows up on requests. Answers calls on the main Crossroads telephone line. Provides basic information regarding services available from Crossroads and other community agencies to callers and walk-ins Research information and make referrals to other community agencies. Timely completion of all related documentation and paperwork. Input client and program data into online database. Provide coverage for Front Desk daily. Monitors and places orders for office supplies in Adult Services. Complete other administrative tasks as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Experience and Education: High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related position or field. Strong customer services skills. Demonstrated problem solving ability. Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse groups of people. Demonstrated sensitivity to people experiencing crisis. Ability to work well with other professional groups and community agencies. Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and with data entry.
