Description Elgin Country Club is looking for a qualified individual with a great personality and a passion for providing first-class service. If you wish to join a leading team, we invite you to apply. We are currently searching for a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for providing the highest level of service to the Members of the Club. Primary responsibilities: Greet each Member and Guest as they enter the building Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable. If not actively engaged in a phone call stand when greeting Members/Guests Answer all phone calls and take dining and event reservations Route calls to specific people. Answer inquiries about the Club. Keep events binder updated by event date – remove any past events Clean and tidy front desk area Remove any desk clutter Wipe down all surfaces before leaving for the day Take out the garbage at the end of the night Take photos at Club events Go up to Members and politely ask if you can get group photos Take candid photos as well Update the Club Calendar on Outlook Coordinate office activities. Send emails, scans, and/or faxes. During colder months, offer to help ladies take off their coat Hang coats up in one of our coat closets Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties. Update appointment calendars Requirements Hours include shifts during the evenings, weekends, and some Holidays. A schedule will be provided two weeks prior for planning purposes. Hours per week: 15-25 hours (can vary depending on the time of year) Job Type: Part-time Education: Associate (Preferred) Experience: Hospitality Experience Multitasking Problem-Solving Strong Phone Etiquette Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required) Customer Service: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
