OVERVIEW:

Motel 6 Red Deer is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-service-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming and seamless check-in and check-out experience. Your role is crucial in creating a positive and lasting impression of our hotel.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred
  • Comfortable using computers and reservation systems (training provided)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to speak Filipino is an asset but not require
Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the property management system
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a polite and helpful manner
  • Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily cash-out procedures
  • Provide information about hotel policies, amenities, and local attractions
  • Address guest complaints or concerns and escalate to management as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance staff regarding room status and guest needs
  • Follow all safety and security procedures, including emergency protocols
  • Complete shift reports and administrative duties as required
  • Assist with nightly audit procedures, including reconciling daily transactions and preparing reports
  • Support laundry room operations as needed, such as loading machines or folding linens during slow periods
