Position Purpose: Incumbent is responsible for projecting a positive and professional image as a representative for Police FCU in receiving visitors and guests, answering telephones, processing mail, and performing various administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Receive and announce visitors and guests to the Credit Union in a prompt and professional manner. Coordinate follow through so visitors and guests are met promptly.
  • Answer telephones. Disseminate information or resolve questions, and/or route calls to appropriate individuals. Put calls on hold and coordinate follow through so caller is handled as promptly as possible and/or put into voicemail or take message at caller’s request.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the facility as required. This may include entering member request into tracking log, processing mail, and compiling membership packets.
  • Utilize Credit Union procedures and computer applications that may include email, Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, database and system software.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of employee extension/telephone numbers.
  • May be required to assist the Member Service Representative when staffing needs occur. This may include but is not limited to, processing request for certificates of deposit and ordering checks for members.
  • Assist with the distribution of deliveries. Research and resolve questions on proper distribution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications: Incumbent will have a minimum of one (1) year relative experience preferably in a similar environment; AA degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Site: Although the central offices for Police FCU are located in Upper Marlboro, employees may be required to report for work at other branch locations on an as needed basis.
