Description The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients visiting our Otolaryngology practice. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty medical environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner Answer incoming phone calls, route calls appropriately, and assist with general inquiries Verify patient demographics, insurance information, referrals, and authorizations at check-in Collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and post payments accurately Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments as needed Scan, upload, and maintain patient documentation within the EMR system Ensure patient forms, consents, and registration paperwork are completed and accurate Communicate effectively with clinical staff and providers regarding patient flow and needs Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and waiting area Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year of front desk or medical receptionist experience preferred Experience in a specialty practice (ENT, surgical, or multi-provider) preferred Familiarity with EMR systems and basic medical office workflows Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and co-pay collection Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Skills & Competencies Professional phone and in-person communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Strong time management and prioritization skills Team-oriented mindset Patient-centered attitude with a compassionate demeanor Work Environment Fast-paced outpatient specialty practice Continuous interaction with patients, providers, and staff On-site position Why Join Precision Healthcare Specialists?
