Position: FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

POSITION SUMMARY AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

A Front Desk Receptionist is the first person to greet and assist members or guests of our long-standing private club. The ideal candidate is a concierge by nature. He/she possesses a professional appearance and attitude, takes great pride in fulfilling even the smallest of requests, and can multi-task at a busy front-desk without sacrificing hospitality, diplomacy, or grace. This individual is well informed and proactive in dealing with high-profile people and at times unusual circumstances. Accuracy and attention to detail along with a strong sense of hospitality are required to convey our Club’s values and effectively communicate Club information.
Our Club’s Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for registering reciprocal guests and members’ guests, as well as, receiving dining and event reservations. They must be comfortable communicating information in a professional manner verbally and in written form and work on multiple tech platforms. They will also be responsible for opening/closing the Front Desk depending on their shift times. From time to time, they will work on special projects assigned by the Office Manager and promote efficient process improvements.

FRONT DESK SKILLS:

  • Assist with phone calls and/or forward accordingly.
  • Communication with Club Staff (management on duty, F&B, Catering, Accounting, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Valet).
  • Manage will-call items/lost and found items.
  • Maintain notes for the next day’s follow-up.
  • File correspondence and assist with other duties as assigned.

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Computer proficiency and ability to master new software quickly.
  • Solid software literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe PDF fillable forms).
  • Experience working with Northstar Club Management software (highly preferred, but not required).
  • Preparing correspondence.
  • Scanning documents.
  • Managing multiple email accounts.
