Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Scheduling patient appointments and answering telephone calls. Chart preparation. Appointment reminder calls. Insurance verification as needed. Patient Check in and registration. Collecting co-pays and other balances. Tracking of no-show appointments. Documents and distributes messages as needed. Assists in distribution of faxes and scans throughout the day. Scans reports/paperwork as needed into the EMR. Maintains order/cleanliness of assigned workstations. Assists billing in eligibility verification and pre-certs for procedures. Complete medical records request as assigned. Opening/closing of clinic suite. Keep waiting area clean and neat. Prepare upcoming days schedules; confirm patients balances, collect if needed. Assist in medical records request as needed from the billing department. Will perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Front Office Manager. Ability to work at other locations when needed. Must be open to cross training and learning other areas as needed Requirements Education and/or Experience: High school or equivalent Telephone and computer experience required.
