Description The Front Desk Representative warmly welcomes patients, recognizing their role as the first and last point of contact in the office. They manage patient check-ins by collecting co-payments and verifying insurance and demographic information. The role includes balancing daily payments, maintaining a clean and stocked waiting area, and addressing patient walk-in concerns either directly or by directing them to the appropriate team member. They prepare the daily schedule for the endoscopy team, communicates relevant billing information, and strictly adheres to HIPAA confidentiality standards. Job Responsibilities Greets patients in a welcoming manner with an understanding that the Front Desk is the first and last impression in the center. Collects predetermined co-payment and/or balance at check-in from the patient when necessary. Keeps waiting room and bathroom clean and stocked throughout the day. Keep front desk tidy and fully stocked at all times. Keeps accurate and up to date log of all staff, patients, and visitors in the center at all times. Responds to patient walk-in issues by personally resolving issues or directs to the appropriate department or supervisor. Prepare procedure charts for each procedure day. Prepares daily schedule for endoscopy team. Constantly communicates with endoscopy team concerning patient/ family needs, concerns, issues, etc. Constantly communicates with endoscopy team concerning scheduling delays, concerns, etc. Scans documents into patient chart daily. Timely and accurately completes all assigned T and D jelly beans and actions. Develops in-depth understanding of the endoscopy center scheduling, procedures, and flow. Other duties as assigned. Participates in all drills, in-service training, and other required training/ education. Participates in Quality Improvement activities. Maintains strict confidentiality according to HIPAA Privacy & Security Rule. Requirements Education and Qualifications High school diploma or GED, required. Medical terminology preferred. Experience in the medical field preferred.
