Responsibilities

Front Office:

  • Oversee front desk duties & ensure policies and procedures are upheld.
  • Responsible for training and maintaining consistency amongst audit staff.
  • Welcome arriving guests with a friendly demeanor.
  • Help guests with check-ins or check-outs.
  • Regularly patrol all areas of the hotel, including corridors, lobbies, parking lots, and other common areas.
  • Proactively streamline and elevate service standards amongst staff members.
  • Handles guest objections (problem resolution) in the absence of and in collaboration with the Front Office Manager
  • Ensures the smooth operation of the Front Desk, assisting other departments when necessary and keeps the Front Office Manager informed of hotel activities and problems, and works cooperatively with other Department Supervisors to ensure the operation is running smoothly
  • Assists in training of staff members.
  • Makes sure guests are assigned to rooms that suit their preferences & requests, and maintains accuracy of current housekeeping status, including rectifying any room status discrepancies that occur after the running of Audit procedures
  • Is well versed in emergency procedures, with the judgement to know when to call our security contacts, and when to call emergency services
  • Ensure that all access points, such as entrances, exits, and emergency exits, are secure.
  • Ensure that noise levels are kept to a minimum during quiet hours to maintain a peaceful environment for guests.
  • Identify and address any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Be knowledgeable in all hotel emergency procedures.
  • Comply with all Archive standards, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Oversee scheduling and other managerial duties in lieu of Front Office Manager.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Housekeeping:

  • Ensures the houseperson(s) are staying on task; reporting any issues or concerns to the Housekeeping manager via email
  • In the rare occasion there are any vacant/clean rooms left to be inspected, inspect them and mark them as such in the system

Food & Beverage:

  • Assist with invoicing when requested by the Senior Food & Beverage manager
