The Sutton Place Hotel at Revelstoke Mountain Resort is recruiting for the position of Front Desk Supervisor. The Front Desk Supervisor will be responsible for providing support for the front desk team as well as the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager; ensuring efficient and smooth operations in order to provide an memorable guest experience. The Front Desk Supervisor will be a role model, sharing expertise and continually inspiring the Front Desk team. The candidate should be efficient at planning and organizing work, as well as critical thinking.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Conduct and complete training for Guest Service Agents and Night Audit team members, playing an active role in onboarding new team members
  • Supervising the front desk team while on duty and ensures team members are following correct procedures and policies
  • Ensure the Guest Service Agents feel supported in their day-to-day work
  • Maintain office supply inventory for the Front Office
  • Ensuring the team is delivering luxury service as a standard to all guests
  • Resolving guest issues efficiently and effectively
  • Providing support to Guest Service Agents when needed
  • Review cashiering reports daily. Report any discrepancies and follow up as needed
  • Assisting with room assignments (double check and fulfill requests such as bed configurations, special requests, VIPs etc.)
  • Assisting with period end reporting and balancing
  • Build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments and foster communication between departments
  • Any other duties as required/requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED. Post Secondary Education in a hospitality or related program will be considered an asset.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a hotel Front Office setting or Guest Service Agent role.
  • Organizational skills with an excellent eye for detail are a must.
  • Proven ability to handle high stress and work under frequent peak period conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with proficiency in relevant computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
