We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Front Desk Team Member to join our team. This position is integral in ensuring that our members and guests have a seamless and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Front Desk Team Member, you will be the first point of contact for members and guests. Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth check-in process, maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere, and delivering excellent customer service. You will help members with inquiries, provide them with necessary information, and manage administrative duties. In addition, you will assist in various operational functions to ensure the gym runs smoothly. As a closing shift team member, you will also be responsible for ensuring the gym is clean and ready for the opening shift the following day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member Check-In: Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring a positive first impression as you check them in.
  • Client Service: Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and assisting members with their needs.
  • Towel Management: Fold and organize towels to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our members.
  • Billing Support: Assist members with billing inquiries and issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Membership Sales: Promote and sell gym memberships, explaining benefits and encouraging new sign-ups.
  • Connections: Guide members to the appropriate resources and services within the gym, including personal trainers and fitness classes.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records and assist with various administrative duties as needed.
  • Light Cleaning: Ensure the front desk and surrounding areas are kept clean and organized, maintaining a welcoming environment for members and guests.
  • End-of-Day Preparation: As the closing shift, ensure the gym is clean, organized, and ready for the opening shift the following day. This includes securing the premises, tidying up common areas, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place for a smooth opening.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service or front desk experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with members and guests.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of gym membership systems are a plus.
