At MMGY, we inspire people to go places. We have an immediate opening for a Front End Developer, based in our Overland Park, KS & Detroit office. The Front End Developer plays a crucial role in providing frontend development support to the Marketing Technology team. This role will be responsible for the development of digital media, email marketing and assisting with website landing pages and microsites as needed. The Front End Developer is expected to collaborate with project managers, account coordinators, designers and others to ensure projects meet quality, timeline and client expectations. Responsibilities Work independently to code and develop interactive experiences using but not limited to: HTML 5 CSS JavaScript / jQuery / Greensock (GSAP) / React Solve problems quickly and effectively by adhering to development best practices Collaborate with teams to plan, estimate and execute projects Collaborate with teams using Kantata, Sharepoint/OneDrive, Jira and other collaborative tools Escalate concerns about projects in a clear, timely and constructive manner Complete assigned tasks according to agreed-upon timelines Provide development guidance to project managers and all relevant parties Educate associates about interactive development capabilities and limitations Clearly communicate with internal and external resources to resolve any identified issues Assist project managers to improve existing development processes and procedures (as needed) Ensure quality assurance of all interactive development work Advanced knowledge of web, email and digital media design and development Analyze and offer recommendations based on expertise and insights Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to those with and without technical background Requirements 1+ years of HTML web development experience Understanding and experience of using git version control software, via GitHub/BitBucket. Experience with various email campaign management tools (Mailchimp, Salesforce, Marketo, etc.) Candidate must be extremely organized with an eye for detail and the ability to balance multiple projects Must be self-starter and motivated to drive successful results Knowledge and/or experience in travel industry is nice but not necessary for role CMS Proficiency: We expect the candidate to have, or be eager to gain, experience working within Drupal and WordPress as they support our various web properties MMGY Global provides a comprehensive PTO + benefits package that includes a hybrid telework policy.
